Position Overview:
D-Tech Staffing is seeking multiple candidates for the Assistant Project Coordinator roles for a county government client in Maryland. This is a 6-month contract opportunity that offers a valuable entry into the public sector, providing essential support to project managers. Successful candidates will play a pivotal role in maintaining project momentum and are encouraged to apply if they possess 2-3 years of experience in project coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Administrative Task Support: Assist project managers with a variety of administrative tasks to ensure smooth project operations.
  2. Reporting: Draft and prepare comprehensive project reports that summarize progress, identify potential issues, and highlight key successes.
  3. Meeting Participation: Attend project meetings, take detailed notes, document decisions, and ensure effective stakeholder communication.
  4. Data Analysis: Analyze project data to identify trends, assess performance metrics, and make informed project-related decisions.
  5. Resource Management: Assist in the effective management of project resources, including budget, personnel, and equipment.
  6. Scheduling: Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, tracking milestones and deadlines to ensure projects are completed on time.
  7. Documentation: Maintain and file project documentation, ensuring accessibility to all necessary information.
  8. Progress Tracking: Monitor project progress against set milestones, identifying potential roadblocks and proposing solutions.
  9. Additional tasks and duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  1. Required Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; an associate or bachelor’s degree may be preferred.
  2. Required Experience: 2-3 years of experience in project coordination.
  3. Skills: Strong proficiency with all Microsoft applications, assessed during hiring. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Go-getter attitude with a strong sense of urgency.
  4. Additional Requirements: Must pass a background check prior to starting.
