Job Description

Implementing activities and monitoring residents’ behaviors

  • Following each resident’s treatment plan to ensure that the therapeutic needs of all residents are met.
  • Implementing individualized programs to ensure that each resident receives home-like therapeutic, educational and personal care
  • Providing life skills to residents and ensuring cottage cleanliness
  • Teaching daily living & leisure time use skills.
  • Implementing educational and therapeutic management programs.
  • Supervising assigned residents during routine and non-routine functions.
  • Participating with the residents in recreational activities.
  • Intervening in residents’ emotional, behavioral, and medical crisis.
  • Document daily activities and residents behaviors
  • Participates in meetings, in-service meetings, and the case management team.
  • Maintains properly stored residents’ equipment/personal belongings.

Work Schedule : Choose any weekend from 7AM – 3PM or 3PM-11PM

Required Experience:

  • Knowledge, skills, and general abilities:
  • General knowledge of residential care, training adolescents
  • Basic knowledge of personal skills and behavior management techniques.
  • Requires AA degree; HS diploma with a minimum 2 years related experience; or current RCYCP certification.
  • Basic knowledge of interdisciplinary team concept and Case Management
  • Maryland driver’s license.
  • Operate motor vehicles in relation to student trips and emergencies.

Within six months in this position, D-Tech will help you acquire:
Maryland State Residential Child and Youth Care Practitioner Certification.
Successful completion of the Therapeutic Crisis Intervention Program, Crisis Prevention Intervention, or Safe Crisis Management.
